I love making items from small parts since young. That started out with Lego & Jigsaw since around 6-7 years old or younger. I used to assemble & then tear it away to assemble again. Then beads came when I was around 8 years old & also sewing was a great passion for me when I was around that age. You see, I studied at C.H.I.J ( Convent of the Holy Infant Jesus ) Punggol Primary School. Sewing is a Art class project. You start every year with a new piece of cross-stitch sewing, either into pencil cases or small drawstring pouches, & get a grade at the end of the year. My biggest item was a Pillow case. I’ll try to dig out those pieces tomorrow.lol. Cross-stitch really helped me in beading, to thread through beads & visualise the end product.
My passion with arts & artsy stuff went into silent mode in secondary school. I was in Guzheng instrumental & we practise really frequently like 3 times a week at school. So no time for arts.
I love Japanese food, culture, lifestyle, history & discipline. I visit Japanese restaurants in Singapore whenever I can to try out food, Hate some & Love some, see their deco & relax a bit. This started around sec3? with all those friends who like the-then-popular conveyor belt sushi.
Then I met my husband back in 2003, my love on Japanese culture, etc, rose to new levels. Well, he is a Japan Fan too. He introduced to me the way of the samurai/ninja & the bakumatsu era. Cool era with lots of fighting. We now collect samurai swords as well.

He also rekindled my love for animations. That died in my secondary school life. Samurai X was my favourite in my younger days though I hate the English Dubbed version aired on TV now. We have
watched animated movies & episodes together. Recently, Bleach, D-Grayman, 07 Ghost, Full Metal Alchemist, Jigoku Shojo. Also, Love Hina, Samurai X, Mermaid Forest, Ghost in a shell ( all series ), Rosario + Vampire, Code Geass 1 & 2, Cardcaptor, Initial D (all). Movies like Howl’s moving castle, Spirited away, Bleach, Final Fantasy 7 avent childern, Final Fantasy the spirits within, Magdascagar, disney’s most movies.

OOh, and the Japanese food. Teppanyaki, Sashimi, Batayaki, Teriyaki, you name it, I like it. I like the belief they have about food. It’s about the food, the quality, the plates it is served in, the place it is served in, the feeling it gives. My Recommended Japanese Restaurants in Singapore is
1. Koh’s Grill & Sushi Bar ( Level 4 Wisma Atria FoodCourt) near escalator to Level 5.

Shiok Maki (Top,left) is a dish with rich flavors, Unagi, Avacado, Salmon, Rice, Tobiko, Mayonnaise & flamed for that unique flavour. Sashimi & Bentos there are great in value & quality. Alot of dishes here are worth eating again & again. Only sad thing, they don’t have Zaru Soba. Cost around $20 or less to be full unless you eat sashimi only & you have a big stomach.
2. Kuriya ( means Kitchen in Japanese ) Great World City at level 1 outside the building
The food here is great, but the price is, well, jaw dropping, not everyday type. The Sukiyaki is Great here. It is served authenically & If you don’t know how to do it, the staff/waiters will assist you. Thumbs up for Sukiyaki. It is around S$50 not including GST/Service Charge for 1 person Sukiyaki.
There’s alot more I can go on about Japanese stuff. But I’ll not bore you with more of the same stuff. lol.

I also like Movies! Action/Blockbuster, Comedy, Animations, Thriller(selected) & Animal related. Terminator was my last watched movie because I’m busy for now. Sigh. Transformers Revenge of the fallen is coming out real soon in 3 days! I’m so going to watch that!

I love Gaming! D.O.T.A., Starcraft, bigfishgames, popcap.
Recently, Plants vs zombies, aveyond, peggle, farm frenzy 3, restaurant city(check out http://funvinyldecals.wordpress.com/2009/06/10/rising-quickly-in-the-world-of-restaurant-city/ on tips) ( http://blackmama.wordpress.com/2009/06/09/facebook-restaurant-city-ingredients-swap-services/ Black market )
I love Rockclimbing alot but that was when I was 16. Now? Well, I’d like to try. lol.
I love Animals! My history with animals started really young. like 6 years old? keeping hamsters without parent consent? been there done that. Now, I’m a proud owner of 4 Jack Russell Terriers. 2 are rescued, and the other 2 are their kids.lol. to see their pictures when they were young, please click http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=124839600864#/album.php?aid=84327&id=671638401.
